Earlier this week I meet up with my two buddies Jeff Brewer and James Trapp to photograph some action photos on their Harley Davidson motorcycles. We meet just before sunset on the outskirts of Truckee, Ca on a quite strip of road. Jeff and James took turns tossing up their best wheelies. Stoked to start shooting some more motorcycles in the near feature.

I sat down with TransWorld Snowboarding and talked about my experiences while snowboarding 12 months a year in the Sierra Nevada of California. You can view the web story here or by clicking the image below.

Mary Rand Photographed For TransWorld Snowboarding
Mary Rand was hands down one of my favorite snowboarders I meet this winter. I flew to Michigan to meet up with her, Jess Kimura, Marie Hucal, and Mark Dangler. We traveled all over the state sharing jokes and laughing all the way. Mary was exceptionally funny. Telling us hilarious stories from her middle school and high school days. While wearing a “I Love Ass” sweat shirt the whole time. Even when we were in restaurants with families with children. She would just shrug her shoulders and laugh.
All jokes aside Ms. Rand’s snowboarding is no laughing matter. The east coast born betty is the only girl in the Yawgoons crew and her snowboarding has benefited from it immensely. Her board control is a step above and her style is very relaxed and effortless. In her video part from last year she is seen board sliding a DFD and hopping over the flat. Something I have never seen a girl do before. This year I witnessed her step to a DFD rail to flat ledge and backside 50-50 the rail into ledge (watch it here). Mary Rand has a bright future ahead of her. Keep it up girl!
Below are photographs I shot of her during a week long trip to Michigan.
