PA-CA 2010
Justin and myself made our trip from Harrisburg Pennsylvania to Tahoe California last week for the second year in the row.

I shot photos along the trip on the LX3, which you can view in this flickr slideshow.
Justin also made a video edit from our trip.

FDR Skatepark Philadelphia
I have not been to Philadelphia since when I was in middle school and went to a Flyers hockey game with my father. So when Alex Kinttle called and asked me if I wanted to go skate FDR park I quickly agreed and set a date for our trip. The hour and half ride went quick as we listened to music and dealt with Dustin being a little shit and making us all laugh. Once we got to the park I took some time to skate the concrete park and rode the full pipe working on my transitions.
After skating for a while and taking a few safety breaks Alex and myself found this weird crumbling wall part of the bowl to shoot. Dropping in from the far right side Alex was able to get enough speed for the feature and we quickly captured the shot. Next on our list was the pink pool that sits atop of the park. The deep side of the pool was to big for anyone to do anything to crazy on so we rode the smaller side. Alex preformed a backside tailslide and Weston Petroski trick of chose was a rock and roll. Before we left Bonyee shot high up the American flag wall.
FDR was a great time and I will be sure to return.

Holga Stories
Might turn this into a new blog series. Just a roll of film through the Holga and it does not even have to make sense. Luckily most of these images were shot on my drive back from Tahoe to PA so it does have somewhat of a story.

Ultronic Panoramic Camera
I picked up this little focus free plastic lens camera for $2 during my trip in washington, and put a cheap roll of Fuji Superia X-TRA400 into it right away. I was a little worried about some of the film coming out overexposed but thanks to the latitude of color negative film the photos came out alright.
The lens which is a 28mm is set at F/11 and shutter speed is around 1/125th of a second. The camera is not really a panoramic but instead gives an extreme crop to the image to give it the look of being panoramic. Upon research of the camera I found out it originally came free with a subscription to Time magazine.
Also most of the images seem to be the sharpest in the middle and become more soft as it moves towards the edges.
For only $2 it is a great find and I can’t wait to try shooting some redscale film through it.

Salt Lake City, Utah
I went to Salt Lake City, Utah last week for 5 days with Matt Roberge, Matt Bothfeld, David Waltzer, Kyle Earl, Kade Madsen and Sam Hulbert. First day of riding was spent at a newly de-knobed down rail, and the night was spent at a brand new spot that we discovered. First part of the second day was spent at the same down rail from the day before along with a gap to ledge, and was finished off with a down rail in a residential area. Last day was spent deep in a valley of SLC. David served up some great looking classic tricks and Earl pushed the envelope on his riding. I felt a little rusty shooting, but felt that I walked away from the trip with some keepers.
