This image of Nick Poohachoff is my most successful image to date. It has run as the Cover of Playboard Magazine #57 in Germany as well as a full page in Transworld Snowboard Magazine Vol 23. December 2009 issue. Playboard has popped my cover cherry and very big thank you to them for that.

Here is a little background on the shot that I wrote up for Playboard.

The beam that Nick Poohachoff is Frontside Boardsliding is a beam that supports an abandoned train tunnel that runs threw the backcountry know as ASI around Sugar Bowl Resort. Nick set up this jib and tested it all by himself while we were shooting another feature 500 yards away. Had he caught his nose while he was by himself he easily could have fallen and died and we would have had no idea.

Transworld Vol. 22 April 09 Issue

After being dropped out of the last issue, I was stoked when I picked up this months issue in the grocery store and saw my image in the wallpaper section. It was a shot of Lucas Magoon on the DFD ledge in Burlington, VT that I took early last year. It is probably one of my best images from the whole year so I am glad to see it finally run.

I was happy to crack open the new Transworld to find my name once again in the Contributing Photographers list. The photo that ran was of my good friend Mikey B, and at one of my favorite resorts; Big Boulder. In fact the photo was used because Big Boulder was ranked the No. 5 “East Coast Park” in the Transwolrd Resort Polls. Great news for a little mountain in PA with a big heart, but Ian Oliver and the rest of the park crew deserve it. It also ran on the contents page (bottom left).

Another photo was used as an Big Boulder ad. It was photo of mine from two years ago of Justin Mullen on a wall ride during the East Coast Team Challenge.

I have also received emails from a few other magazines with promising news about photos running. So there should be more updates to come soon.

has popped my first photos in a national magazine cherry. I was contacted last winter to shoot the slopestyle page for them at Big Boulder. Not much I can write about it, so I will just show you the photos. They have a few more photos of mine that I hope will be used so we will see how the year turns out. Best thing is seeing my name in the contributing photographers list along with Tim Zimmerman, Andy Wright and the rest of my favorite pro shooters.
